Dawn

Priestess of the morning sun, Dawn loves none more than her brother, Dusk. They were raised from hatchlings to embody the spirituality of the day cycle, and lead their clan towards a deeper understanding of the balance of night and day. Both are fairly reserved, but Dawn is the more forthcoming of the two. Where Dusk will answer in riddles and half-thoughts, Dawn will speak with blunt honesty. She saves her words though, and getting her to give them up can be a daunting task.

Her familiar, a Crystal Carrier, was bonded to her at birth as part of her priestess heritage. Dawn named her as soon as she was old enough to comprehend names, so she is called Tangerine. They are very close, and Dawn will most often be found resting near Tangerine's pool.

Dawn and Dusk were chosen by their clan elders to embody the morning's revealing light and the evening's covetous darkness. They are the first of their kind in this clan, although they hope their brothers and sisters may succeed them in distant lands. They themselves will never take mates, for they are mated to the day cycle and the moon and the sun, and no mortal dragon could compare.
