Those who only see Duine inside the Vultures' stronghold wonder how re could possibly be a successful ambusher. Yes, re is colored with all the greens of the forest, but rhir markings are so bright that there is no mistaking them for leaves and branches. It's an unnatural sort of coloration, made even more unusual by the fact that some of rhir runic markings seem to glow in dim light.

It is exactly these glowing markings, however, that make Duine as effective as re is. The tattoos and runes, some painted over others that have been more permanently etched into rhir scales, are a very straightforward charm. When activated, they provide Duine with such thorough camouflage that nobody sees rhir coming until it is much too late. By the time re reveals rhirself, rhir victims only have the opportunity to choose whether they would rather give up their money or their lives.

Though it wouldn't be surprising for such a skilled bandit to be a bit of a braggart, especially considering that rhir wild coloration is often assumed to mean that rhe is a bit of a dandy, Duine is refreshingly down-to-earth. As far as re is concerned, rhir job is just a job. It isn't who re is as a dragon. Re defines rhirself instead by rhir relationships with the other dragons in rhir crew, which are stunningly positive. Re is the only one of the bandits that no other bandit would have a problem being partnered with, and re occasionally gets sent as unseen backup for some of the other crews, when the Vultures are flush with cash and rhir skills aren't needed elsewhere.
