Gayl

Gayl, the current patriarch of the Gayl clan, came into being when dragons from the Lightning and Shadow clan met among the frigid flats of the Snowsquall Tundra. Chrysallis and Mistris spent their younger lives traveling across many lands together, seeing all the glorious sights the world had to offer them, until they finally decided to settle within the Icewarden's realm. During their stay in with the Ice Clan, they lay and hatched a few eggs which included the one that held Gayl. From then on Chrysallis and Mistris decided to call Snowsquall Tundra their home.
Gayl, as many young Icelings do, spent most of his childhood exploring the Southern Icefeilds. However, despite many young dragons' content with their realm, Gayl found life there to be bleak in comparison to the stories his parents would tell of their travels. Wanderlust grew within young Gayl's heart, leading him to constantly push his flying limits in an attempt to one day embark on a journey of his own.
Now, Gayl was very much the runt of his nest at the time. He had much trouble first learning how to fly, and found himself catching many illnesses in his youth. Because he was the smallest and weakest dragon hatched, his mother and father were weary of letting their little Gayl leave the nest like the rest of his siblings.
Gayl, despite being weaker in comparison to most every other dragon, decided to train himself, and pushed himself further and further each day, using the strong ice winds to strengthen his flying stride until he could fly against even the strongest of blizzards with grace and ease.
Eventually Gayl broke away from his former clan, and sadly abandoned his nest and parents in search of a different clan of which he could better belong to. He searched near and far, traveling across much of the world, until he came across a domain that seemed infected with filth and chaos.
Because of Gayl's origins, he possessed piercing silvery-white eyes that stuck out within the Plaguebringer's realm. From the moment Gayl stepped onto the Plaguebringer's domain, he began to feel weak, and eventually his health began to take a turn for the worst. Gayl tried his best to make his way out of the Wandering Contagion, but was too weak to continue forward, and fainted near Callar's nesting grounds.
Gayl was noticed by Callar, and was brought into his personal nest and nursed back to health. Callar used his Driftwood Baron's toxins to help cure Gayl of the plague that he began to fall victim to, and offered safety and welcomed Gayl into his home. The two got along quite well, and, over time, Callar and Gayl worked together to bring the clan to a higher strength, and continue to ensure the clan's survival in the Plague Bringer's domain.
Gayl, although occasionally falling ill to the effects of the Plague Bringer's wrath, fell in love with the uncertainty of the Wandering Contagion, and decided to start a clan of his own with the watchful eye and helpful support of Plague native Callar.
