Subject #0869 was brought to the empire by a fellow light clan living close to The Beacon of the Radiant Eye. Said clan has been researching a group of dragons dubbed as Runecatchers. These Pearlcatchers have been shown to have immense power that is directly tied to the runes that cover their bodies. What is currently understood is Runecatchers can choose to invoke their runes. This is a strange and wonderous event or a horrific sight burned into the minds of all who witness it. While the powers vary from dragon to dragon, researchers in the empire wanted to see if the magically charged willow would cause any changes to these dragons.

Upon the subject's arrival the empire's head scholar Aldorian set up a small research station about a mile from the massive willow where most of the empire's head officials and civilians live. Once Subject #0869 was received from the head Runecatcher Research Facility he was dubbed Anvindr and was put under close observation. The team was warned of the combined strength and instability of his parents, Subject #7873 [Lunacy] and Subject #6488 [Eclipse]. Fortunately, he has shown very little mental instability, the only thing that has been recorded is some emotional fluctuations. His moods are highly mercurial and while they can be quite strong, they also tend to pass fairly quickly, be they positive or negative.

Aldorian's theory about the willow did find some foundation when after only a few days in the empire, Anvindr started to eat the clouds that hug around his body with sudden fervour. When he did stop he would chant softly to himself and continue to eat the clouds. It is believed this is when he invocated his runes. This went on for at least two days until suddenly he stopped doing anything and slept. When he awoke again thin fog started slipping from his nose and mouth. It was also noted that he stopped speaking as the fog that spilt from his jaws grew thicker.

It was not long until a thick rolling fog pooled around his legs almost obscuring them from view. At first, this was assumed to be remotely harmless ability. However, caution is now advised due to the fact that the fog is hallucinogenic in nature. Any dragon without a respirator and within ten feet of him started having visions. They were weak and often broke quickly, but it did not take Anvindr long to perfect these visions. It is clear that Anvindr is very much in control of what dragons who breathe in the fog see. This ability unlike the clouds of his youth is not attached to his moods. He has also shown he can easily choose who and who not to effect.
