Leander is a bit of an oddball. In an Order full of scientists, he chose to become an artist! Thanks to Leander's cheerful music and brightly-colored crafts, the Tangled Order is never drab. When he isn't busy putting the finishing touches on his latest portrait or composing a new song, he can be found searching the natural sights of the Tangled Wood for more inspiration. Leander's creative spirit never rests; he's always full of energy and fun. Though he grew up in a loving flock of Coatls, Leander always felt that his creativity was stifled as a hatchling. He wanted to go out and see the world, and interact with the art of other Clans and even other Flights. Luckily, his siblings Larimar and Lenore were just as adventurous. Their brave trio set out together, each answering a personal call to adventure, and eventually ended up finding more lifelong friends in the Tangled Order. Leander's artistic skills are incredibly valued by the rest of the Order. Whether he's helping Peaches sketch a newly-discovered familiar, adding an artistic flourish to one of Gregor's maps, or singing historical ballads for Larimar, Leander always seems to be helping another dragon's research. It's a miracle he ever has time to make his own art. Isabella has dubbed him their resident "art-ologist". Larimar calls him their rebel. Another title that might suit Leander is chemist, because he loves to create his own paints and dyes. Often collaborating with Morella, the resident potion-brewer and chemistry whiz, he crafts his own stunning sets of colors and turns them into vibrant masterpieces. The science behind these pigments fascinates his nerdy friends, but Leander just likes paint to with them! Leander is proud of his different path, and has never felt out of place among the Order. His less artistically-inclined friends always make him feel welcome, though they sometimes don't understand his search for inspiration. Occasionally, he will take some time to himself, and go off on his own adventures in the wilderness, but he always returns to share the resulting masterpiece with his friends. Though the Tangled Order has provided him with all the love and support he could ever need, Leander does hope to one day find real romance. A hopeless romantic, he sings sappy songs and flirts hopefully wherever the Order goes. He flies on every day dreaming of true love waiting just around the bend. And who knows? Maybe one day he will find his perfect muse... |
