B I O G R A P H Y

A handsome and very charismatic fae appeared on the docks of Amarayne’s cove entrance, bearing a map of the place and a badge that allowed him to bypass the security and the defensive curses and barriers protecting the lair. No one on site claimed to know him, but he had a bunch of luggage and a longing look in his eye. He introduced himself as Blaine, the boyfriend of Amarayne citizen Eirlys…or more accurately, ex-boyfriend. Apparently despite breaking things off, Eirlys was on good enough terms with him to offer him a place in the clan when he needed a home. Despite the confusion and alarm of a prospective member coming unannounced via the most well-guarded entrance, Blaine passed inspection satisfactorily (though was on probation initially) and easily won over his new clanmates.

Despite initial distrust, Blaine soon charmed his way into the hearts (and a few nests) of his new clan, taking to them as well as they took to him. He explained his urgent housing need arose when his “starving artist” lifestyle was becoming a bit too literal; he was a talented singer, actor, musician and dancer, but that didn’t put food on the table if you didn’t catch the eyes of a few bigwigs. He also said with Eirlys that his until-recently unmentioned relationship had ended because while they still liked each other, they simply weren’t a good match as a couple. The fact that they are so amicable about it confounds those still suspicious of him. For now he says he is not ready for a serious relationship, but is open to the idea.

Blaine has become quite a sensation and injected much-needed new blood into the performers and artists of the clan. Not since the death of Calliope nor the departure of Philyria, who went to play for the Lightweaver herself, has a performer so talented dwelled in the clan. When he pulls out the lute, all around him still to hear and fully enjoy what he plays. When he takes a role in the theater, there is nearly always a full house. Musicals will have to play for weeks straight just so that everyone who wants to see the legendary Blaine at work can get a chance to see him. Some wonder how he wound up in a desperate situation to begin with, given all the attention and adoration he draws—he figures he was just fated to live here.
