"My buddy Keith tried camping out on top of a building once. He was shooting crows, but the police were too busy teargassin' him to ask what he was doin' up there. He screamed for an entire year every single time he opened his eyes! Oh, man! At first, it was funny; then it just got sad, but then it got funny again! Oh, man!" - Ellis.

In the apocalypse, you'll never meet anyone sweeter or funnier than Ellis. He has an optimistic outlook on life and sees the apocalypse as one big, exciting challenge to overcome. Despite first impressions, though, Ellis isn't as helpless as he may seem. He's an expert with guns due to his Southern-style upbringing, and he's not at all shabby with melee weapons. He's also pretty good at thinking up escape plans for his team, like how he came up with the idea to use Jimmy Gibbs Jr.'s stock car to escape Liberty Mall. Overall, his cheerful and affectionate attitude has made him the group's little brother. Before the infection hit, he was simply a mechanic in an auto-shop he ran with a few of his friends. In his spare time he would be practicing in a 'Band' with his friends, or spectating/assisting his friend Keith execute idiotic and often highly dangerous ideas he had. Being born and raised in Savannah, Georgia, he has a large expanse of knowledge on the area and makes a connection with Coach, who also lived in the town when the infection hit. When Nick downplays the importance of Jimmy Gibbs Jr., Ellis stock-car driving idol, he intercepts and says that while he has held his tongue for most of the ex-conman's smart comments, he refuses to let him belittle Jimmy Gibbs. Now that he's been brought to a dragon-filled world called Sornieth, he's enjoying being a dragon and making new friends- With the ones who'll let him, that is. In the daytime he's usually running around with other dragons or telling stories about Keith to the clanmates who will actually listen. Usually that's Inightlin, but occasionally Posilyn, Takanosuke and a few others will sit down and listen as well. At night, if he hasn't gone to sleep yet, you might find him outside with Nick, worrying about the team they left in hell. |
