”You’ll be Safe And Sound.” ╰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╯ Within the walls of the lair, lives a simple, humble yet shy dragon known as Lantern. She is hardly seen by many members of the clan, mainly due to her being scared of the loud and noisy dragons that roam about and prefers the peace and quiet of her own solitary lair. However this doesn’t mean Lantern doesn’t enjoy company, in fact it’s quiet the opposite. If you are quiet, polite and enjoy a cup of herbal tea with a simple conversation, Lantern is just the dragon for you. Even with Lantern’s shy and peaceful personality, it’s best not to toy with her, especially if it involves touching the many lanterns scattered about the lair or disturbing the little fireflies inside of them. Lantern can go from being a sweetheart to a down right warrior, if you dare do one of those two things. This is mainly due to Lantern caring ever so deeply about the small creatures, seeing them more as friends and family rather than bugs, and on top of this she takes her job incredibly serious. She would feel awful if any dragon were to hurt themselves over not seeing where they were going in the lair. Due to Lantern’s job as Lamp Lighter, she isn’t seen throughout most of the day and she’s normally snuggled up on her moss bed in her lair, waiting sun down to come. When she is seen, she’s often heading out to the local meadow with a set of jars strapped to her side. Once she is at the meadow, she’ll begin to carefully catch fireflies in her jars and bring them back to the lair to light the way for the other members. Her gentle and soft touch ensures the fireflies stay happy and healthy while they are being caught and assisting the other dragons throughout the night. Only after ensuring the clan can see during the night, and her fireflies are in good health will Lantern return to the safety of her own lair, where she’ll grab a bite to eat and keep watch over the clan with Obsidian until the morning. Now do not worry about the fireflies, as Lantern ensures that after a night or two of helping her clan out she releases them back into the wild with the same respect as she does when she catches them, and the cycle continues.
