Diva is an understatement when it comes to Erza. On the stage and off it she can be quite the drama queen, but when it comes to her acting there is no one better in all of the region. Erza can channel the character so perfectly it's almost as if she really turns into them. Her characters blur the line between reality and fiction. There have been times her audience was so consumed by her performances that they questioned what was real and was not as they left the theater. Most attribute this ability to her Nocturne nature and her ability to mimic. That assumption would be partially right. In truth, her ability to assume the character so thoroughly stems from a necessity to survive the harsh reality of the Hewn City. She started to lie to live and over time she actually began to believe her lies, making them even more convincing. Those who knew her in her youth would refer to her as a pathological liar and indeed she acted as one most of her youth. However, clinically she has a healthy mind that is perfectly capable of not lying. She just chose not to. Adulthood brought about a change in Erza and she managed to convert her habit of lying into a useful skill. Acting. Her new skill proved more fruitful then her small fibs ever could and she found herself surrounded with admirers and fans. Suddenly, the shy little Nocturne was the most prized and popular actor in her troop. Naturally, that sort of affection/attention can go to the head and that's exactly what it did to Erza. She has an inflated sense of self importance whenever she's in the theater and can be quite demanding and argumentative if not given her way immediately. Off stage, however, she's a bit different. Erza still holds to that inflated sense of self importance, but that will not keep her from getting her hands dirty to help her family, clan, students, and community. She is most sincere when she offers aid to the unfortunate and will go out of her way to make sure they are taken care off. She's also very kind hearted to those that deserve it. To those that do not her tongue is razor sharp and drips with venom and anyone caught on the end of it learns very quickly not to wrong the actress. |

WIP Background Investigation File #31624192 A small note is attached to the file folder. It read: Commander Blaze the following copies were found tucked between the pages of one of Erza's play books. It is highly recommended she never be made aware of our possession of these copies. Flipping the file open you discover the aforementioned copies. They appear to be hand written journal entries that read: 8th Day in the month of Fire You see things in the darkness; in the unyielding shadows that choke the Hewn City. You play it off as nothing and convince yourself that they are just the shadows messing with your eyes, with your mind, but you know. You know all about the monsters in the darkness. I know them well, much to my woe. The blame for that is entirely my parents. Of this I am convinced. The swill drinkers had no business having a cub --and then abandoning her to the mercies of those shadows! How is that fair in any way? I never asked for that. I never asked to be their unwanted spawn! NOTE: Erza met Chima during her time as a street urchin. The Spiral used to take care of her and in return she required a favor. After growing up and leaving the shadows behind she managed to forget about the 'favor' that was never called on. Until, that is, Chima called unexpectedly one day (during the height of her career). She requested she come to the clan and take it's place as the Thespian Instructor. At first Erza was livid at the idea. Her acting career was at it's peak and she was being asked to forget about that to be a teacher!? It was down right scandalous. Though, she would not deny the 'favor' she didn't exactly go into happy. It took very little time for Ezra to realize that the clan loved having her there and her students took every opportunity to lavish praise and adoration on her. She began to fall in love with this new 'family' of Chima's, so much so that when the contract for the 'favor' was finished she decided to stay permanently in the area and continue teaching. She still does tours with her troop, but during the off season she is happy to be at home, teaching and enjoying her new family. |
