Having suffered a breach in his core, Araxyr chases a never-ending hunger in a desperate bid to stave off apastron.

araxyr's upbringing was fraught with misfortune and violence. he feuded with his drunkard father almost as often as they crossed paths, and from a young age he elected to stay away from home as often as he could to avoid the merciless, unrestrained beatings doled out liberally within the family home. once his father's sights turned more intently upon his sister, araxyr used the extra freedom to prepare himself to flee his home, his village, and his people. he blamed alarend entirely for the dissolution of his family. he resented her with every fiber of his being, and was more than content to let her take the fall for what she did to their mother.

he crossed paths with the highlord mahngo on his travels. the highlord appeared hesitant to convert him into a lightforged, but araxyr insisted and pleaded. he was desperate to show his resolve. desperate to ascend and become an unstoppable, undying engine of war.

he was 18 at the time of his ascension.
