Biography

Spreader of shade

"The shade is still alive and strong."
Bio here

It is a silent day in the woods. Perfect for gathering fresh herbs.
As the healer of your clan, you often took the initiative to use the plants and materials you collected in order to make medicines. And you were quite a good one, at that. Once any dragon got healed by you, they won't go to any other healer. Your kind and gentle hands, tending the wounds ** the afflicted, were enough to make them want to stay.
Regardless of that, you were quite defenceless. Your knowledge of herbs and medicines was nothing compared to the knowledge needed for an actual battle. That's why you kept to the sidelines mending to the wounded. You left the fighting part to the warriors of the clan.
Despite your defencelessness, however, that didn't stop you from going to the woods by yourself to gather fresh herbs. Although the forest itself was dangerous, gathering herbs was not, so you always took your chances whenever the forest seemed at its most peaceful.
You didn't even bother checking when you heard a nearby rustle in the leaves. You thought it was most likely a familiar or some other kind of animal, hunting or foraging for fruit. Plenty of that you have seen. Going out into the woods a-lot does that.
What you didn't realize was that a dark looking sky dancer was watching you delicately pick your fragile herbs, licking her lips in anticipation for the perfect moment.
But you didn't know that. You were too busy picking herbs, not wary at all. That sky dancer could have jumped out anytime and succeeded in killing you ruthlessly, but no. It wanted the moment. The moment when it could truly enjoy murdering you with its own claws.
What was that moment, one might ask?
Well, imagine this. You are at the peak of relaxation, completely oblivious to everything around you, minding your own business, when all of a sudden something, or someone, pounces at you in order to rip your throat out.
Not very pleasant, isn't it? So much for a relaxing day.
This sky dancer wanted to see you suffer. It loved the shocked look on her victim's faces as she slowly tore them apart, still dazed from being relaxed without a care in the world. In a way, they were still relaxed... Which is what happens when you let your guard down.
The skydancer's ears perked up when she saw your shoulders completely relax, knowing that you felt completely safe and weren't going to expect someone to kill you anytime soon. So, the sky dancer got on the ground, ready to pounce.
Meanwhile, you are just having a ball, humming to yourself as you pick the last few herbs needed for your latest brew. The sun felt good on your scales, the bird chirping the happiest songs you've heard. Such a pleasant day!
Then, out comes the sky dancer, teeth bared, claws extended, flying straight at you from the bushes.
You were still relaxed, and didn't realize until the last moment that the sky dancer was on top of you, tearing into your soft underbelly and ripping out your inner organs with her blood-stained teeth. She almost looked possessed, as if shade-touched... Yet she didn't have the other attributes of a shade-touched dragon.
But, whatever, you're relaxed. You didn't really care about the details, or that a sky dancer was eating your organs while you were just lying there in a state of half-shock, half relaxation.
At least the sky dancer got a fine meal, right?
