______ The oldest and most authoritative of the eight kings and queens goes by the name, Death. Unlike the others, who are steadily fighting for power over the clan, Death tries his very best not to affect the world too much. There is very little known information about him and he prefers it that way. He watches from a distance. Observes all and every living being that passes by or stays within the clan. He isn't as destructive, ruthless or uncaring as the others, but he's certainly the most powerful resident in the entire lair, calls most of the shots and is the only one capable of commanding the other rulers.

______ A few things do stand out about him, even though he tries his best to keep a low profile. The most obvious would be that everything and everyone who's around him for long periods of time will eventually start to feel faint and queasy. One resident of the clan stated that ''It felt as if life itself was sucked right out of the environment.'' . Another noticeable trait of Death is that he's always around when another dragon reaches the end of their lifespan. No matter the situation, whether they're screaming in agony and wounded beyond repair or unable to stand up, simply because of old age. Whenever Death appears they calm down instantly and peacefully pass away. This makes him both feared and loved by all members of the clan.

______ Dragons accepted into the clan by death are often not interested at all in twisted glory and immense power, they are just looking for a place to call home, somewhere to belong to. Death only accepts those who want to strengthen the clan, but not by means of hostility or just survival instincts alone.

______ But his peaceful resolve is faltering, the constant struggle for power between him and the other monarchs is tiring him out. He knows a few of their sinister plans and the problems they cause. One of these days one of them will start a war so ferocious it will tear the clan apart. And just like them, Death is slowly and secretly preparing for the inevitable.
