Beach hates his Crimson eyes. He loathes them. They are a constant reminder of his birthplace, the place threw him out like he was nothing more than a way to please The Infestation. His parents were taken from him when he was just a hatchling, and given to The Mother as a sacrifice for her goodwill. That is where he would have ended up too, had he not run away.

It was the night his parents left him that he decided he must leave. There had been a notion in his mind for weeks that he didn't belong, and now the only things keeping him here were gone. Though he despised the thought, he couldn't help but feel as though he had been freed. Without so much as a glance back, he trotted away at the fastest pace his awkward legs could handle. During the following weeks, his limbs grew more developed, and soon he could fly the entire day, with only brief stops to eat and rest.

When he had set off, he had no plan, but he subconsciously oriented himself to the coast, the place he thought most different from Plague. There, the air would be fresh and salty, and the ocean would be full of food. The gulls would call for him to join them in the air, and the dragons would be welcoming and kind.

When he reached his destination, the sea exceeded Beach's expectations. It was enormous, stretching farther than even his sharp eyes could see. The sun dipped below the horizon, oozing across the amazingly flat line like and egg yolk. Bird created a cacophony of sharp cries, and the crashing waves only added to the beautiful chaos of nature. He had been right; Plague was nothing like this wonderful anarchy. There, everything had to be organized and cautious, or else come one was bound to suffer. Here, there was room to breathe.

Beach's experience finding food in desolate places makes him easily the best scavenger that the Sandcastle clan has. He's fiercely loyal to the clan that took him in and helped raise him, he respects the Queen and finds companionship with the familiars of the clan.

When he was originally taken in as a scrawny and malnourished hatchling, Rosaline from House Tybalt became his adopted mother, pushing him forwards to be a part of his new clan and to make sure he never felt hungry or scared again. When he had nightmares she would hold him tight and chase them away, and even though he quickly grew too big to fit under her wing, she would tell him stories of the sea and the waves and the wind.

Beach now takes in fellow Plague refugees, and those who wish to escape to better places. The Lair of house plague is an ever growing, ever changing patchwork of rooms, added on as necessary, and that keeps Desi and Kay busy a lot of the time.

He has begun to accept his plague heritage, with time and distance Beach can start to put his feelings into perspective. Whilst he may not have had the best upbringing, but he can appreciate the skills he was taught as a hatchling more now that he isn't fighting for his life. He no longer goes out scavenging as much, but resides of the domestic running of the scavenging parties, he takes inventory with his mate, Springfall, and directs his charges to unexplored areas. Beach has also been taking on the task of expanding the clan territory, something that weighs heavily on the mind of the queen. Negotiating with rogue dragons and beastclans has also become a part of his day-to-day routine. Thankfully his good friend Wolfram has elected to handle the delicate discussions and deal making, leaving Beach to his many assorted jobs.

After travelling between clans and once again facing the risk of being exalted to another deity, Beach found himself in the Windswept Plateau. He was taken in by the Gemstone clan. Quickly he fell into the role of head scavenger for the clan due to his experience. Beach works in a team with Kousa and Nuvola when they go on major scavenging expeditions.
