Mistress of Poison
Although Persephone seems comfortable with her large body, the truth is that the Poison Mistress was born in a different body. Seishin found the large Guardian washed up on the shore close by his home soon after returning with Ophelia, the brightly coloured Guardian appearing washed out and lifeless. It was a shame, to be sure, but Seishin felt no breathe wash over his claws when he held them tentatively beneath the female's nose. There was nothing to be done. However, his newly adopted daughter came out of the hut and saw Seishin with the Guardian and demanded that they help her - and, well, there was simply no persuading the little Fae otherwise.

Much to Seishin's surprise, the Guardian heart still beat. Ophelia was beyond pleased, Seishin was shocked, and Tsurara was... well, she was cold. As always. Delphine came to their door not long after the Guardian was settled in Seishin and Tsurara's bed and fast asleep, determined to make acquaintances with Ophelia, where much to her surprise she was immediately directed towards the stove in order to make a healing draught.

"The moon mustn't be a charge of the flame, prophet." Delphine was, understandably, quite cross at being told to do things as if she was a small hatchling again, but Seishin had barely enough time to open his mouth before a young voice answered her.

"There's a guardian in the next room but she's very ill and Seishin said he needs a healing drink and rest but I've already tucked her in and I'm not big enough to make the drink so can you please do it?" Ophelia was close to tears, her young voice wavering and filling in the space so as to not succumb to her tears. Delphine stared in small wonder at her new sister, before nodding decisively. The moon Guardian stripping off her cloak and getting to work. Tsurara, seeing all was well nuzzled Seishin as she passed and left the hut, likely off to guard the borders again.

A cough silenced the room. All within the room turned towards the entry to the bedroom, seeing the large Guardian with the blanket around her shoulders leaning against the doorframe.

"I'm," a hacking cough interrupted her. "terribly sorry for the trouble I've caused. I'll be on my way in the morning."

Nonsense. It was quite unusual for Delphine to exert enough power for her mental voice to be projected, so when the rippling voice passed through all three dragon's minds everyone was understandably shocked.

Delphine herself looked mildly shocked, before turning back to the stove. You will go straight back to bed and allow us to heal you.

"If I may, I would like to stay out here. I am uneasy within walls of isolation." When Delphine didn't refuse, the ill Guardian slowly made her way to the large chair in the corner. Her eyes crinkled when she spotted the small Fae.

"What happened to you?" Ophelia immediately asked, much to Seishin's chagrin. However, the Guardian looked amused and leant forward.

"I was once a Mirror dragon, fierce and powerful in a mighty battle with the Tidelord, when suddenly an army of Maren rose up from within their water caves and jabbed me with their spears! I felt very sickly after that and found it very difficult to evade his throws, so I was WHACKED! Just like that! I flew from the middle of the Sea to the shores of the Scarred Wasteland and the Plaguebringer themself picked me up and instilled in me a intricate knowledge of every poison to ever curse his land and a Guardian body - and with that new body he flung me right into the chest of the Tidelord! The Tidelord of course had finished fighting with me at that point and sent me floating on the top of his domain where I floated... floated... floated to the shores of the Tangled Wood. Where you found me - you're my hero."

Ophelia gasped and even at one point squealed while the ill Guardian told her story, and by the end Ophelia had half climbed up into the Guardian's lap. Seishin shook his wonder at her story from his mind and made to grab the excitable Fae from the stranger, worrying she was hurting the Guardian; but The Guardian merely scooped her up and tucked her within her arms.

"What's your name?" Ophelia asked in quiet awe of the mighty Guardian of the story.

"I was given the name Persephone by the Plaguebringer, and it means 'bringer of death'. Very fitting for my knowledge. What is your name, little one?"

"Ophelia!" The little Fae glanced wide-eyed at her adoptive father and sister, before pointing at each of them. "He's Seishin, and he is my new father. He can see the future and he's going to help me to! That lady over there making the healing drink is my new sister Delphine, she can also see the future, and they both can't speak like we do."

The Guardian - Persephone - looked at each of them.

"The Serpent, the prophet, and the Oracle of Delphi. Lovely to meet you all."

Delphine walked over with a steaming mug in her claws, setting it down carefully before the unfortunate Persephone. I feel there is more than meets the eye with you, Persephone. I will assist you in returning you to your old body.

The two ladies made eye contact - and a shock passed from between their souls, and all of a sudden it was as if there had never been any trouble communicating. Seishin saw this and was glad.

"I'm... not sure if I want to go back to being a Mirror... Delphine..." Persephone whispered with wide eyes, still maintaining eye contact.

"The offer still stands... Persephone..."

All within the hut stared at the moon Guardian, for she had spoken in an understandable tongue.
