โญโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโฎ Carefully guarded under their mother's wing, these children are taught how to commune with the dead by their aunt Yaequis and uncle Gwent. Their father, brother to Yaequis and the first and only creature she ever fully brought back to life, tries not to linger around the hatchlings, no matter how much he longs to because their burgeoning and unstable life magics could threaten his existence. Similar to their cousins, their eggs are wrapped in delicate leaves, the colors fading from green to yellow to the deep reds and brown of decay as they incubate, a curious ceremony the pair develop for themselves to better gauge when the egg is ready to hatch. Nephthys carries the nests upon her back when they are forced to move but otherwise spends her time patrolling the edges of their tiny clan's camp. If a hatchling shows more interest in physical art than magical, she is glad to teach them. Those who do not turn to Nephthys are taught in the art of necromancy. Yaequis and Gwent's particular brand is less about raising the dead, and more communicating with them to comfort relatives, or pass on final requests and words for the bereaved. The hatchlings are often present when their parents perform their work, and as they grow-- with permission from the client -- are invited to join in the sรฉances. However, each child is taught how to raise and use a corpse to their advantage-- frail and delicate by nature, they are warned it is purely for defense, and those who realize their distant father's condition may be even more adverse to it. "There is no such thing as death. In nature, nothing dies. From each sad remnant of decay, some forms of life arise so shall his life be taken away before he knoweth that he hath it."
