Clan hatchling minder and disability coordinator

Obscura hails from a clan with some darker psychological issues. While thankfully unaffected herself, she is keenly aware of the struggles that those with bipolar depression, schizophrenia, and panic disorders must face. She originally found the clan due to the now-exalted Vanth, who taught her how to considerately guide those with low or no vision. The very first guiding mission she undertook was the guiding of Vanth to the Wyrmwound. Along the way, Vanth convinced Insurgence to stay behind, and to take Obscura as a partner. Insurgence wasn't completely thrilled about the idea, but allowed himself to be prevailed upon, and took the fairly emotional Obscura back to the Bone Lair.

Obscura makes for a flighty, distractable partner, but an excellent hatchling-sitter. She makes sure that the little ones don't manage to eat too many non-edible things, or tear each others' wings off, or other unpleasant things. While Insurgence still prefers Vanth's calmer, more peaceful attitude, he has come to enjoy watching Obscura tear around the camp after the Bone Lair Clan's smallest and newest members. He has also come to rely upon her advice concerning which ones are the most worthy of training, despite the fact that he tends to pass that responsibility off on Misha. Although she is a little short of attention, Obscura is caring, sweet, and always fun to be around.

How she hasn't managed to activate Insurgence's calming runes is anyone's guess, but Selkynn believes that it is because the two appreciate each other now, and will come to truly love each other in time.
