"What came first? The chicken or the Herb?"

If you’ve ever seen Kosha moseying down the bars or on his Mad Max homage of a bike speeding at 200 mph, you may have noticed a peculiar featherless turkey in the sidecar giving you the bored side eye. This is Herb the Omnipotent Birb, Kosha’s best friend and sidekick.

Herb was originally captured as part of a the clan’s daily haul for food stocks. As he was/is a particularly plump fowl, Kosha dove to claim him for himself out of greed. Unfortunately since Kosha is well… Kosha, instead of beheading the poor turkey before consuming him, he instead made great fun out of plucking all his feathers first. When all that was left was a bald bird trembling back at the brutish Mirror, Kosha’s more maternal instincts took over as he sniffled at the expression it was making. Two hours later he made an appearance at clan dinner with the turkey clothed in a particularly detailed sweater and a miniature umbrella to shield his raw skin from the temperature of the lair. The rest as they say, is history.

Herb in a nutshell is quite a sassy bird, who commonly switches between eye rolls and apathetic looks of judgement mostly towards his ‘owner,’ which Kosha somehow interprets as signs of undying affection (we call this Herb-Vision). Despite this, it is apparent that Herb does have some form of attachment to the Mirror since he never tries to leave or abuse Kosha’s trust.

However, there is something off about him. On a full moon night he was once spotted illuminated by the storerooms standing over the fresh meat and poultry, a knife held in his wing. Animals can not be seen within a 1 mile radius where he walks, no matter how hard you look. He was seen out back in a fog smoking a cigar, blood drying on his feet. Furthermore, he seems to understand dragon languages though he himself is silent.

But that's impossible...he’s just a turkey right… ?

"DANGER FINS!"

Rin and Kosha met in late 2017 when Rin was just starting out with her Tumblr Takeover. Their friendship blossomed over Kosha’s mutated frills and shared oddities~

The terrible duo are two sides of the same coin. Moreso than both being unconventional mirrors, their bonded interests in pranks, traps, and overall childish immaturity connect the two on a more primitive level. Kosha’s more overt attachments and protective instincts can also be well matched to Rin’s own… unique way of showing that she cares. Unfortunately sometimes they don’t see eye to eye, with Rin opting to stew or swallow Kosha’s eggs when she’s left alone for more than 2 seconds, or worse eat Herb.

Whether in Vita Sanguinis wreaking havoc on the Living Garden inhabitants, or taking turns flinging fish onto Locke with a makeshift trebuchet, they can usually be found together on a weekly basis (though I’m not gonna lie visitation will probably be revoked on both ends…)
