Legends only speak of Illusory and Spellsage dragons in Ryne, as much is unknown about that particular species of dragon that roams the world. Many legends surround the original Illusory dragon, Beldine, and her Spellsage mate, Ralin... however, many of those legends are regarded as myth and as 'children's bedtime stories' by much of the world's populous.
As progenitors of the races, Beldine and Ralin possessed a power that was generally rare among the dragons of Ryne at the time... and that was to ability to shapeshift, transform, or even do large scale illusions to deter those that may have been hunting them. Due to their powers and the hunters that desired it, it is common practise among many Illusory and Spellsages to remain hidden. How they choose to remain hidden is up to them, however.
Beldine and her mate had chosen the forms of Elven persons -- Beldine becoming the picture of an Alyuni (Snow Elf), and Ralin choosing the form of a wise Iliean (Wood Elf). Together, they had taught their young about their powers and had rose them close to society so that they may observe the patterns and actions of those around them. However, they also lived far enough away to where they could also become more attuned to the lands should they choose to not feel comfortable in that environment.
Due to this reason alone, it is hard for those within Ryne to confirm one way or another that Illusory or Spellsages really do exist.
