Biography

CHARON
undertaker
sentimental & patient | worrisome & restless

Charon fled the Southern Icefields after her birth-clan dissapated, bit by bit. For a long time, she wandered clanless. From region to region, she sought a home and seldom found even shelter for a few days. Her wandering left her weary. When she found herself in the gladeveins, her tail wound loosely around the trunk of an ancient tree, she found it too much to will herself to continue on. Though the Viridian Labyrinth was much different than the home of her youth, it offered something that she hadn't come to expect: stability. Charon made herself at home, bit by bit. She was reluctant to encounter clans, unaware of how the Nature clans would treat one such as herself. After years, it was Evergreen's approach at the edge of the Shrieking Wilds that convinced her to come along. "See if you like it," Evergreen said. Charon was intrigued. The marks of Plague flight were still evident on the ambassador - and if one such as her could find a place here, perhaps Charon could as well. "Perhaps you'll stay. Perhaps not. You may leave at your discretion. We welcome you regardless."

She has been a valued member of the clan ever since.

Charon is surprisingly calm for a spiral, and her small stature takes some off guard. She is reserved and mature, speaking only in what words that she deems necessary. Her children, Sodom and Gomorrah, did not inherit this from her. Her other daughter Ajwain, however, is a bit too much like her mother. Charon cares greatly for her children, though she and her mate are practically separated. It wounded her more than she could ever say to see Ajwain leave the lair to serve the Gladekeeper - a god that Charon had never considered her own - but she has come to terms with it. Sodom and Gomorrah have made their own place in the clan, and she coul not be more proud of them.

Her familiar, Twyll, is a stalwart companion. Though they met only after she had settled with the clan, she trusts the qiriq with her life. Twyll accompanies on the majority of her duties - particularly gravedigging. He helps as best her can, whether it be pawing at the ground to help her dig, or standing guard.
