Aurus is the founder of the Viridian Vanguard. While still a mere hatchling, Aurus's former clan was wiped out by rogue spiritual forces, and he barely survived. Orphaned, Aurus wandered aimlessly through the Viridian Labyrinth for years. As Aurus reached adolescence, he found his way to the Behemoth. Once he reached the Behemoth, he was over-awed by the divine presence he could feel in the area, and began to pray to the Gladekeeper. He devoted several years of his life to the goddess before she gave him his task: to defend the Labyrinth from supernatural tragedies like the one that had destroyed his former clan.
Under the guidance of the Gladekeeper, Aurus established his own clan in the ruins of his former clan's lair. He began to study the mystic arts of Nature, and worked to attune his body, mind, and soul to the energies the Gladekeeper had infused the Labyrinth with so long ago. A few months into his studies, a lone Guardian wandered into the ruins of Aurus's home. Aurus approached the Guardian warily, as he had been alone for years, and did not know what to expect from other dragons. The two became close friends in a matter of weeks, and soon love bloomed between the two. Aurus and the Guardian, revealing her name to be Chocolate, eventually had their first clutch, and the Viridian Vanguard was born.
After laying a second clutch, Aurus's mystic studies bore fruit: He learned how to construct a mystical companion. After gathering the necessary reagents, he formed a boar out of dead and dying trees.
