RazorSquid is first and foremost a scientist, with a heart to study the past and understand the previous residents of Sornieth. She does not hunt for gems or treasure like adventurers do, those ruiners of the wealth of history for self-profit. With a steady claw she carefully surveys and measures new areas and then carefully excavates with an eye to preservation. Unfortunately, despite her goodwill she found something she should have not had in the Fortress of Ends -and even now the creature hunts her for her trespassing. That creature is why she left the realm of Ice and traveled to Water, in the small hopes that two seas of separation would hopefully keep it at bay. Her mate choice, PolarCurrent, is also in part a form of protection. She prays that his rising star of popularity will outshine her own works and that his treasure shall help to buy her safety. She knows that he is mostly using her and her works in turn for that money, so she feels little regret in her minor betrayal. She never really liked the limelight, being a rather shy dragon, and she rather just stick to her work. In terms of work, she is mainly studying the underwater ruins around the Lionfish Isles. This is thanks to the gift of underwater breathing by TideTempest and her new found relationship with the nearby maren thanks to her friend, TideSpirit. TideSpirit is also the one who introduced her to another friend, RadiantSky the seer. At first she had been tentative about having a seer as a friend, but her qualms were quickly stifled when she learned the seer could only see the future- not the past. The two have struck up a good friendship surrounding both their desires to understand the ruins and their history. In her spare time, RazorSquid creates ice sculptures- though they swiftly melt in the tropical climate. "Those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it." |
