Ferrin
don't practice until you get it right; practice until you don't get it wrong

An easygoing, laid-back dragon, many a rival has been deceived by Ferrin's apparent lack of care and quick laugh. Though a hatchling at heart, the wiry fae is much more dangerous than he lets on. His skill with the bow is unrivaled in the clan - and throughout much of the windswept plateau - and he is a very talented ranger. Laughing one second and serious the next, always beware hidden arrows from behind.

Ferrin puts on an air of arrogance. Everything from his swaggering walk to the tilt of his head speaks of overconfidence.

Backstory
Drifting into the wind territory on a breeze off the ocean, Ferrin was captured for hunting on the clan's territory. His quick tongue and kleptomaniac tendencies almost did him in - had a certain scout not been present. Pathfinder found the stranger's witty words charming, and his skill impressive. She saved him from a jail cell with a proposal: let Ferrin train under her to become a scout. If he did well, he could stay and be an asset to the clan. If not, he could go back to rotting in the dungeons. Ferrin agreed, silently vowing to escape as soon as he got his bow back.

Their first week was riddled with escape attempts. Yet Ferrin never got far before Pathfinder caught up, using her skills in hidden movement to ambush the fleeing fae. He was impressed with her stealth; she was impressed by his cleverness.

At some point, the attempts became less serious. He would leave clues, trails, or tracks for Path to follow - and she never failed to do so. It became a game, until he was just as talented as she was.

Finally, Blue consented to give the hunter back his bow. But the dragon who received the weapon wasn't the same dragon who'd lost it. In his training, Ferrin had found something he'd never known before: a friend. When he fled that night, all he could see was her face, disappointed and broken. The hunter broke down not far out of the clan's territory, torn between fleeing and staying.

Pathfinder found him there after followed his trail away from camp. And it was there that she confessed her feelings for him. And there that he realized reciprocated them. And it was there that the Rangers of the Breeze were founded.
