Biography

Amara is the daughter of two exceptional fighters: Amare and Atasna. The latter is well versed in all types of combat, the former is an expert at tooth and claw combat, and stealth. Atasna can defeat armed enemies with only her wits and natural weapons!

From a young age Amara knew she had a lot to live up to. Her parents were constantly being praised. 'Your efforts help push the beast clans back and keep us all safe'. The items they'd bring back from their training in the mire was a main source of income for their clan. Amara also came to learn of how her father had helped their clan's progen mature into the charismatic and competent leader she was today. Amara looked up to their leader but Amara knew there was no way she would ever be like her.

As soon as Amara was old enough her parents attempted to train her. Amara struggled to do simple combat. She always misjudged her claws distance and missed. Even stationary targets... It was embarrassing. She could never hit anything with a weapon either. Her parent tried so hard to find her a suitable weapon. Archery: every shot was a miss. Swords and Daggers: could never hit anything. They even tried unconventional weapons. Bladed staffs: She couldnt get her head around how to attack and defend with them. Axes: their odd weight distribution always threw her balance off. Tridents: she'd pretend to be the tidelord and be distracted during training. Her parents gave up training her, maybe she would have a different (mundane) job?

Amara would always reflect on the moment her world view changed. She was never really a headstrong dragon but one day she decided shed defeat something and show her parents she was able to follow in their clawsteps.

She travelled to the starwood strand looking for anything to fight. She heard the rustling of leaves and snapping of twigs, and quickly hid in nearby bushes. She watched as a small group of centaurs pass by her bush. They seemed to be hunting or scouting. They were a common sight in the crystal pine reaches. They were skilled weavers and commonly traded things with dragons at the trading post. It was a mutually beneficial relationship. Dragons had materials that were benifical for centaurs and vice versa.

She scrambled out of the bushes and started approaching the centaurs. She wanted to ask them where she might find game, or wolves, or anything really. The centaurs turned their heads when she walked out of the bush, and the leader of the pack screamed, it sounded like a sinister war cry. Amara froze in place. This wasn't what she expected, centaurs were peaceful creatures. Shed even made friends with a centaur girl her age!

The pack came galloping towards her, the leader bellowed another war cry. Were they going to kill her? Would her foolishness lead to her death? Was this it? Would her death be painless?

An arrow whizzed by Amara's head, breaking her daze. Her claws started moving, and she turned and ran. She could hear the thundering of hooves behind her, they seemed to be getting closer. Shejumped over logs and weaved between trees. She knew hey had the upperhand on the ground. She didnt know how to fly yet, her wing mucles werent developed enough, at most she could glide for short distances. A spear landed with a thunk next the her right side. She jumped in fright loosing momentum. She started running again but a flurry of arrows landed in a line infront of her. Were they missing her on purpose? There seemed to be too much prciscion in the line of arrows, for them to be constantly missing her.

She neede to find somewhere to go where she could fit and they couldnt. Fear put her body into overdrive, but she was becoming tired. She spotted a bush up ahead that could be big enough for her to hide in. She needed to loose their line of sight for this to work. Thank the Arcanist! There were a group of brambles ahead of her, its height towered above her and centaurs, almost like a thorn-y wall. If she could crash through them, the cenaturs wouldnt follow, they would have to around. Her scales were hard enough that (hopefully) the thorns wouldnt hurt. She feigned going to the right, pretending she was going to just crash through and keep running. The centaurs seems to notice what they thought she was going to do and half of the group split. Amara had no time to turn around to see the centaur pack had split. Hope spured her on and she ran faster, crashing into the brambles, it would only be a few moments before the centaurs could see her again. She ran as fast as her claws could carry her to the bush she had pinned her hopes on.

She was going to jump into the bush and then 'fluff it up' around her again, hopefully making it look like a normal bush. She suddenly felt a searing pain in her right leg. Her leg collapsed under her and Amara was sent rolling forward, stopping when she hit her head on a tree. Why did her le- She looked at her leg and saw an arrow embeded in her flesh. She heard the thundering of hooves as the other half of the pack came into view. When had they split? Why didnt she hear them split?

Note: Amara was gifted the ebony armor by Sadon (Pheo's mire derg)

Pheo's derg's personality:
-ye, he enjoys job of taking trainees into the Mire and spending time with his clan mates
-he's very soft boy when he's not working
