Mirage

The mysterious female of the clan. Mirage is a very quiet dragon who tends to keep to herself. Her mask hides a deformity that she was born with, and was also mocked because of it. She specializes in herbal remedies, and unlike Ophelia's magic, prefers to use ingredients from the land to heal deficiencies. Her cloaks give off an ominous feel, and it often scares the hatchlings when they first see her. Nightvale has designated her as the caretaker of the eggs and hatchlings due to her herbal experience, making sure they are healthy and well fed.

When she's not looking after the new arrivals or working on remedies, she spends time with her mate, Mirth. He's about as strange as she is, so she finds comfort in him. He's never once asked her about her mask and what it hides, which is another reason why she loves him. One day, perhaps, she'll show him. Her fear is that he'll be disgusted with her. For now, her life is content as is.
