Biography

A seafoam wildclaw watches with interest from the door as Pele lets loose her message. She chuckles.

"Oh my dear, you have much spirit. And i do quite like the formality, Infamous." She looks approvingly at the polite dragon.

"You two seem to be having lots of fun today." She says as she rummages through the closet.

"How about some of these for your treats?" She suggests, releasing a small load of objects into Pele's bag.

"Do enjoy them now!"

They called me Windwaker because they could, or so i had been told for a very, very long time. They were my family, they were the members of my home, they was just a term to refer to everyone i cared about. I used it a lot. There was nobody else i could use that word with, because there was nobody else i knew. Just my family, myself and the winds and my name of which was useless. I discovered it to be useless when i was still only a hatchling...maybe only six or seven months old. I was born smaller then all the other hatchling of my generation, although i wasn't that small forever. My parents were worried at first that the lack of size would kill me when the great cold came, but since it was just getting into the season of heat i would have lots of time to grow. When i was older i decided to see if my name had any relevance to a secret ability of mine. I was very, very stupid to do so, or at least to do what i did to find out. When my parents were checking on my siblings i ran out into the forest until i was at the base of our village mountain. I still remember how hard it had been to climb it, it was even harder for me with my soft foot pads. Reaching the top was a wonderful feeling though, but there was still no wind to send a chill down my back. When i neared the edge and looked down i felt no fear. I tried to see the wind, but i couldn't. Maybe, i had thought, the winds were asleep and it was my job to wake them. It had made lots of sense at the time, my name was Wind- Waker after all. I leaned closer to see if i could find them by looking farther out. Still no. I went farther still. One step. Two step. Three step. I was now standing on the edge, teetering, but not stepping back. I needed to see the winds. That's when i leaned just a little too far, one inch or maybe two too much. My claws scraped of the edges as i awkwardly lost my balanced and tried to turn around. My wings got wrapped around me and my last two longest claws slid a little further as i began to tip back. Back and back and back. I though i was surely going to fall, but instead i found myself hanging upside down from the cliffs edge with only my two claws, one per leg holding me. I didn't move. Two minutes went by. I closed my eyes. Thirty seconds more. I became impatient and experimentally decided to very slowly try to lift my weight up. Nothing happened. I stretched a little more. Again nothing. Then on my third try one claw slid to the very edge with a cracking sound and i was back hanging hopelessly again. Now that i had moved my weight was unbalanced, the one claw that had slid brought me to hang lopsided. My other claw was straining to hold me, i culd feel it all the way up my leg, I was getting stiff in this one position. I shut my eyes again and squished them tight. Please, i thought, please catch me winds, please. And i let go. Free faling was a lot less graceful then i thought it might be. My feathers felt like they were been torn out in one direction and it made my stomach hurt. Most of all though, it made me feel scared. No, that was the word i had used at the time, scared, but it had not made me scared, it had made me feel fearful and awful and...so many other things that words can't explain. My life ending had been right below me. My wings were to weak to fly and i was untrained anyway, so they were whipped uselessly behind me by the harsh air.
