Deep within the cave where the clan resides lies a trench that leads into unknown depths no dragon has yet explored. And within the blackness lives the creature that is known for snagging hatchlings and other dragons down into there, only for them to never be seen again.
Patientia is a scary, dangerous dragon. Dwelling within the deepest caverns of the clan's lair, she uses her nimble body to slip through gaps, only with her brilliant blue eyes able to pierce through the darkness, the only warning until she strikes. No dragon knows where she came from, rumor has it she was living within the trenches of the cave well before the clan moved in. No one approaches her, they all argue about who has to throw her food down to her every meal time. She is an enigma, clicking and growling as her own form of speech. The strangest ritual anyone has ever reported to seeing of her is when she finds pockets of magma, she covers her body in them in the early hours of the morning, letting it cool as the day goes on and then rubbing it off just before bed. The hatchlings whisper to anyone passing by about the mysterious beast that lives down, gesturing to cave drawings of this black scaled, blue eyed Spiral covered in magma and bloody rags, a crown of bones atop her brow. They warn anyone that the blood she is covered in may or may not belong to the owner - or owners - of the bones she decorates herself with. Strewn along Patientia's walls are drawings she's made using the point on her tail. In one hole she hoards miscellaneous bones, some slowly being pieced together to make bone sculptures of the creature they belong to. In another is something much more innocent: a hoard of hatchlings' toys, either from the kids while daring each other to throw something down there or simply because it was knocked in. She enjoys plushies the most, burying herself in the pile she has collected of dirty, damaged dolls to sleep. |
