Biography
"Primaverde" subspecies idea.
+Breed is always Spiral
+Genes:
-Primary: Poison, Skink, Wasp, or Petals
-Secondary: Toxin, Spinner, Bee or Butterfly
-Tertiary - Mystic: Runes, Sentinel: Scales
+Color ranges:
-Primary Spruce-Moss
-Secondary Spruce-Cinnamon
-Tertiary Spruce-Cinnamon
The Primaverde subspecies consists of two "types": Mystics and Sentinels
Mystics:
Highly gifted in magic, and excellent orators. They are often talented singers, poets, and writers. Very observant and very capable in the art of manipulating others. Mystics tend to be highly social but can be flighty with their relationships.
Mystics are defined by their beautiful, luminous Runes tertiary gene.
Sentinels:
Very dexterous dragons who excel at the more physical crafts. They are often excellent builders, carpenters, smiths, etc. "What you see is what you get" types who prefer simplicity and straight-forwardness. Sentinels are usually more aloof but extremely loyal.
Sentinels are defined by their tough, functional Scales tertiary gene.
Goals:
To create a subspecies with bright, natural color combinations using genes that alter the base color pallet and accentuate the whimsical, vibrant nature of the dragons. The color ranges are deliberately broad to encourage creativity and insure unique, interesting dragons!
Dragons can come from any lineage, so long as they meet the basic breed/gene/color criteria. However, a special listing will be made for G1s who choose to register.
Subspecies art template:
TBD, but will be a general template anyone who owns a Primaverde will be able to edit and use.
Color Morphs:
Canopy - main morph series (greens)
+ By far the most common of the Primaverde, these dragons live a strictly arboreal lifestyle. They spend most of their time among the treetops, and are known to be the most mischievous of the tree morphs. Travelers going through Canopy territory do best to take their advice with a grain of salt, as these dragons are masters at misdirection and exaggeration.
Pollywogs - Midnight-Turquoises (P, S, T)
+ Pollywogs are known for being elusive and cliquish. While they do occasionally intermingle with others, they always prefer the company of other own kind. This group enjoys a semi-aquatic lifestyle, and always live in close proximity to water. Mystics are much more common than Sentinels in Pollywog groups.
Leaflitter: Goldenrod-Rust (P, S, T)
+ The rarest type of Primaverde. These dragons are still capable of flight, but prefer an almost exclusively terrestrial lifestyle. Leaflitters are the most open and generous of the Primaverde, and are the group most likely to take in outsiders or help others along in their travels. They are the only agrarian group of Primaverde, and enjoying bartering and sharing their harvests with others.
All three morphs of can interbreed, and offspring who's color range falls between two morphs can still be registered as a Primaverde, so long as both parents were also Primaverdes.
