Biography
"What, me? Nah, I'm not important. Just a plucky, loveable dragon who enjoys flying and drawing."
Loud, rambunctious, and blessed with an artist's spirit, Navy is a flier first, a mapmaker second, and a journeyman third. Having been a strong flier from birth, but unable to get a pen out of his hand, Navy decided that his talents would be best put to use mapping out his world, and set about to accomplish his goal almost immediately. Abandoning his clan almost at once, Navy lived a rover's life, with his trusty tools always in hand and his scarf tucked tightly about his neck to shield him from the winds.
Using his optimism as a guide, Navy was always welcome no matter where he went, and he was glad to share his work with any dragon who took an interest. His maps detail were incredibly useful for wanderers and new clan leaders who wished to mark their territory, though Navy could never charge a fee for his work, and refused to take gifts of food or treasure in return for it, either.
While this generosity was treasured, it left Navy getting the short end of the stick more often than not. And when his journeys led him south, it became not only a bother, but a deadly problem as his hunger left him stranded in the icefield with no safe haven seemingly in sight. It was at what he thought to be his end when he was picked up by the border guards of the Frozen Stone clan and brought to their caves for food and rest.
Eager to repay his debt, Navy immediately gave Rockfang and Tanis access to all of his maps, and was more than eager to continue to survey the region for their use. Despite their reassurances that this was not necessary, Navy took to the task with a happy smile, and neither Guardian was capable of swaying his mind.
It was during one of his routine flyovers of his new territory that he found Flake, struggling and wishing to die a cold and lonely death, and like his former saviours, Navy took her back to his clan for nursing, and a new lease on life that he was more than happy to give. Nowadays Navy can usually be found buried up to his horns in his work, with Flake watching over him with a gentle smile.
