"Hello, traveler! I, Steelheart, formally welcome you to our clan! Now that that's out of the way, what did you need? Food? Work? Did you come here to pet my buttersnake?
Oh, you want to know about PrettyBoy? I think it's only fair that I tell you about him, since he was so kind as to answer a few questions about me. It looked like he was working hard, too, which is rare. Usually I only see him that invested in his alchemy! You'll have to tell me what he said about me, but later.
PrettyBoy is... well, brilliant. He's my right-wing man, an alchemist extraordinaire, and a complete goofball. He insists on calling me Boss, which I don't mind, so long as it's coming from him, and taking naps. He thinks I don't notice, but he snores louder than a bear! It's quite difficult to miss that!
His trunker's name is Truffles. PrettyBoy is trying to train him to carry vials, but so far all Truffles has done is smash half of our ingredients, before falling asleep in the resulting mess! It's a good thing trunkers have such thick skin, since the floor was littered in broken glass after the accident.
Don't tell him I said this, but he can be rather charming. He tries to be more subtle about our relationship, but I don't mind saying that I love him dearly, and every way he shows it. A few days ago he made me a beetle pie, which was sweet, since he despises bugs of all sorts. Between Truffles's and my insect-only diets, we must drive him insane! He has the grace to conceal his disgust, though, and I appreciate that. It makes up for most of his odd sleeping habits.
Speaking of which, can you hear that? He's snoring again. He's not exactly subtle, is he? I'll give him a few more minutes before I wake him, then you can ask him whatever else you wish. Until then, feel free to explore. And welcome to the clan!"
