______ Flora has always grown upwards towards the light, suffocation everything that dares to stand in its way. Everything weak and small is slowly pushed away and forgotten while it rots in the shadows of stronger and bigger things. Such is the way of Nature. If one were to walk into a forest he or she would be baffled by it's beauty, not seeing the destruction in the process of survival, or simply turning a blind eye to it.

______ But Julius knows, he's knows from the very moment he had opened up his eyes as a hatchling. Where his brothers and sisters looked upwards, at the bright green leaves swaying in the wind and the colourful array of flowers painting the forest, Julius looked closer. To the withering, decaying and suffocated plant life below the grandeur of colossal trees and he saw himself in the very same situation. Stuck in the shadow of his beloved parents and even sweeter siblings, he couldn't cope with it.

______ As time went by, the difference between Julius and his family grew larger. While his siblings excelled at healing magic and grew various herbs, flowers and useful plants, Julius had shown talent in the art of fighting and had become a specialist in growing all kinds of parasitic plant life. While his parents were proud of his skills for a while, they became anxious of the boy's difference in both personality and his progress. He had become far more cold, brutal and fearless than necessary and his choice of flora did trike them as odd.
