Goboth

Goboth was found hanging upside-down from, and quite roundly tangled, in a tree. He was also alternately peering curiously into the wrong end of a scrying glass and gumming it. No one knows where he came from or if his clan even knows he's gone. He's not one for talking, preferring instead to emit a set of sounds that convey quite accurately how he feels about any given situation. A lot of these sounds are hauntingly reminiscent of a yodeling robot.

After his friend Lancir moved on to another lair, Goboth was inconsolable, spending his days draped across branches like a depressed pasta noodle. Eventually, a Ridgeback named Finbok joined the clan and Goboth took to him right away. The two are often inseparable, Goboth draped across Finbok's neck and happy with his position as king of the world.

Recently, Goboth was instrumental in unearthing a strange egg from a chest nestled deep within the kelp beds. Elend, the young nocturne that hatched from the egg, has taken to mimicking Goboth exclusively. Goboth, for his part, enjoys his little protege and has taken Elend under his wing. The two can often be heard chattering away at each other in their expressive repertoire of noises.
