Reality is beautiful, but fiction can be beautiful, too. Sometimes, even more.

Flynn loves his job. To some, it looks like a simple life, with no responsibility other than rambling on around campfires and telling tall tales to hatchlings. That is not so. Flynn’s job is about entertainment, but it’s also about education. His stories teach lessons to both young and old, and they repeat events from long passed. It’s about preserving the clan’s history, about appreciating mythology, and about fostering a sense of brotherhood within the clan. A storyteller’s job is not only to entertain, but to enrich, and Flynn loves every moment of it.

Flynn is a friendly dragon, with a jovial disposition and an eagerness both to teach and to learn. He spends his days in nature, observing both nature and the other dragons around him. Keen observations become new story threads and character quirks. He also spends time reading, examining the techniques of other writers, learning new tricks himself, and reminding himself of all the rich history, legends, and fairy tales that he learned as a child. That way, he can better pass this knowledge along as part of his stories.

His writing skills are on point, but his presentation is even better. Capable of a wide range of voices and expressions, no tale is ever dull with Flynn telling it. He’s animated, lively, and believable. Tales of horror leave hatchlings cowering and even adults grinding their teeth. Humorous ones leave them paralyzed with laughter. Epic adventures bring tears to their eyes. All at the will of the clan’s master storyteller. He wouldn’t change it for the world.
