B I O G R A P H Y



______ Endgame is the great-great-grandson of the Gatekeeper Naomi. He hatched on a night with no moon, with darkness obscuring the sky and the Shade watching on from its perch in the endless abyss. He fought his heritage tooth and claw, with eyes glowing green with the power of Wind and body glowing with arcane runes. Endgame struggles to be cheerful, a bright ray of sunshine, like his father, but he finds it nearly impossible when darkness clouds his thoughts and the weak points in reality flicker to life before him. He's plagued relentlessly with his power, his ability to destroy everything in his path, breaking it apart into components and striking it from existence. It's weaker in him, thankfully, fading out the further down the bloodline it goes, but he sees the rifts in reality and feels the urge to tear into them.

______ Unsurprisingly, Endgame hides his heritage with everything he has. A dragon like him, cursed by his very blood... No. He couldn't let anyone know. He's retained the name he was given, but he insists its a name he came up with himself for personal reasons and won't go further into it. He's spent his life wandering from place to place, trying to find somewhere to escape his own identity. He fit in nowhere, other dragons always finding him unusual and offputting. They could never tell what he was- they wouldn't dare guess at it- but he was never welcome anywhere. When he finally came practically crawling into the Shifting Expanse, to a clan of outcasts and the unwanted, he felt relief flood through him. Finally, somewhere where he couldn't be questioned.

______ Endgame acts as a historian and philosopher, spending much of his time with Vyruul in her library and researching the Shade. Most of the clan is unnerved by him, but few avoid him for this, and he's more welcome here than he was anywhere else. Valmera is an enigma to him, for she clearly finds him interesting, but she avoids him whenever he tries to speak to her, as if she can't bear to be near him. It barely bothers him, though, for as long as he has his friends, he feels he can accomplish anything, even forget who his blood says he is and perhaps escape the Shade once and for all.
