Commander / Ice Warrior
2nd Gen • Level 25 • "he/him"
"Protect the wicked and punish the weak - that's my motto!
...no, wait..."
...no, wait..."
Paladin is a commander who vows to protect the weak and punish the wicked. Despite his namesake, he isn't very much like a real "paladin" and often subverts it with his lack of Light magic and healing spells, but he still tries his best! Having grown up in harsh conditions and being a tough survivor of several incidents, he is incredibly sturdy and can tank hard hits with ease.
Paladin has a big heart and is always willing to help others, but he has a hard time saying "no." Most of the time, he'll go to a fellow commander for advice, because he doesn't trust himself with judging someone's character. He's loyal and cannot be bribed to work with others.
In battle, he's always testing out new, awesome one-liners, but he tends to stumble over his words and mix them up. Most of his opponents will laugh, but they won't for long after he Eliminates them on the spot. It's an effective distraction, so he doesn't really mind.
He is one of the main Coliseum fighters and forms a powerful trio with Anaphalis and Blueberry. His strong wings provide a bastion of defense against enemies.
Paladin has been a long-time member of the clan and considers his clan and family as his charge. Anaphalis and Shyrza are his childhood friends. To him, they are his family - his adoptive brother and sister.
⌈ BACKSTORY ⌋
Paladin grew up in The Southern Icefields and travelled often with his family, until he lost track of them during a blizzard. He wound up in the Crystalspine Reaches, where he tried to climb the highest peak in order to look out for his family.
Upon seeing how far he had gone from the icefields, he became discouraged and felt lost, and he had tried his best to not cry. While Paladin was shakily holding back his tears, a young Tundra, Anaphalis, fluttered down next to him out of curiosity. After a while of talking, they connected strongly over the loss of their families. Paladin chose to follow Anaphalis to the clan, where he stayed.
