Suzu

Full name: Suzu
Name meaning: Suzu,鈴, is Japanese for bell

Short story: Found as a hatchling on the steps of the Gifted Chime's School for the...well...gifted, Suzu quickly rocked the school, almost to its foundations, with her spiritual powers and earned herself a spot in the top class. Though too young at the time to participate in said class she grew up undertail of some of the most famous teachers and mages of her time and recieved special pretraning at their claws. The headmaster said of her chuckling like a proud father,"Suzu is so tiny and sweet it's impossible not to indulged her! Though mind you she is as smart as a whip and probably knows what she is doing". Once old enough to officially begin her education Suzu finished her training in record time to become her clans spiritual leader within 2 years(the youngest graduate of Gifted Chime in history!). Though she is still quite young she posesses tremendous power and is revered throughout the land and some even say she is a goddess incarnate. To Suzu however, her powers are like shackles, she is restricted by the elders of most everything a young dragon enjoys. Her familiar Takeo, whom she called at the tender age of 3, is the most powerful of the top teir of familiars and is her closest friend and confidant...and is as doting as can be with her when ever he can get away with it! Sheltered all of her short life and forbidden to mingle with outsiders Suzu is very curious of what goes on past the shrine walls and is constantly trying to escape just to "take a peek", much to the frustration of the head priest and her attendants! What would she find out there? A friend? An adventure? Love? She just has to know for herself what the real world is like!

The Gifted Chimes originated when the Windsinger received a gift from the Flamecaller: a stone that glittered in every color of the rainbow. The stone was so beautiful, the Windsinger thought it might be a shame for it to simply sit and look pretty, so he turned it into a dragon—many dragons, because just one could not express the amount of beauty in the original stone. While these dragons had pale colors throughout most of their bodies, their wings glittered like crystals in the sunlight.
These dragons moved to populate the Reedcleft Ascent and the Twisted Crescendo, with each population developing slightly different color variations. Paler variations seem to prefer the swirling Twisted Crescendo, where all that can be seen of them as they fly is a flash of sparkling feather, while the others seem to appreciate the calmer beaches near the Reedcleft Ascent.
These dragons are especially fond of combing the beaches for glimmering gems or pieces of colored gems. Each dragon has its own collection, and they hang them up in their lairs like wind chimes. The sound from each of these chimes is unique, and each dragon might prefer to pick up different colors as well, making them beautiful works of art. A large number of these chimes in the same area will compose a unique song every time a wind blows.
