XXXD Y N The Meek |
"...Oh! H...Hello?"
|
The once bullied, now unlikely partner of Winger.
He is notoriously timid and avoids confrontation. It appears to be second nature to lower his head, bare his neck and avert his gaze. To the hardened dragons of the Mire, such behavior is shameful and a worthy reason to mock and demean. The rumors about him are numerous. How did such a shy little lizard manage to survive this long in the Plaguelands? It doesn't make much sense. Someone must've left him here, flew far from his flight and abandoned him while he was unaware. His temperament is only an act, some say. He's here because he's hiding from retribution, he must've slighted someone back on the Mainlands. He must've killed someone important and this persona is a front to avoid being found. Dyn, ever shaking, always murmuring, will never confirm or deny any of these stories. |

Dyn doesn't hunt for himself and seemingly relies on Winger for most of anything. No one is exactly sure when their relationship began but it is impossible to deny that they are very close. Winger is very possessive and protective of Dyn. Dyn sticks to her side as much as she can as long as she doesn't have to leave the Mire.
On days where she is hunting or dealing with unruly dragons, he will be waiting for her at his sunning rock. A flat stone which was once something to fight and maim over before Dyn had claimed it for himself. One day, Dyn laid on the rock while waiting for Winger and sunned himself for most of the day while Winger had joined the patrols around their territory borders. Fearful of the bloody retribution that would come if they fought Dyn for the stone, everyone had left Dyn alone and assumed that they would be able to sun themselves another day. Unfortunately for them, when Winger returned, Dyn was under the assumption that the stone was his and told Winger such. "It...is very odd, isn't it? No one else wants to lie there, but it is very comfortable." Dyn had whispered, bumping his head against Winger's side. "You must try it, if! If you'd like!" Winger did try the stone...for a few minutes, before shuffling back off of it and giving a pleased rumble that made Dyn beam. Now, whenever Winger does her patrols, she purposefully drops him off at the stone before she sets off. She wants Dyn to be comfortable and secure while she is gone. The sunning stone is in a well populated are of the Mire where all dragons can see Dyn, watch him and keep him entertained and happy while she is away. She knows the others fear her and she knows that they know what leaving Dyn here implies. They had better make sure that nothing happens to him or there will be consequences. |
