Vuldal is the embodyment of the phrase "from death comes new life". He gracefully lends his skeletal, decomposing body to the plants and critters that grow on him. His rotting flesh feeds the roots of the most gracious plants, and his extruding ribs and broken pieces of bone serve as their support.
Despite his apprearance, Vuldal is not dying. His looks are a reaction to a mighty disease that he contracted years ago and lived with ever since. Although his body slowly withers away, he'd be damned before he lets such a thing happen to the life he lets grow from it.
