"The Keeper has bestowed a task on me." ╰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╯ Themis doesn't recall much about his past. He'd lived a simple childhood, uneventful in most things. As far as he knew, he had experienced nothing extraordinary. It was Circe and her secrets that truly made Themis' life unique. When he was a child, a servant of Circe took Themis from his family, his lair, and denied him his heritage. He was stripped of his genes, stolen away in the night, and left to be forgotten and brushed aside. By this route, he was found alone by the disciples of the Gladekeeper and given a home. In return, he aided them in their druidic rituals and lived a life away from other forms of society. As he grew into adolescence, Themis felt that insatiable pull for something more. The druids he lived with had taught him many things and he felt he had a better understanding of the world than he would have otherwiser known. Regardless, he was drawn to the world outside of his familiar birthflight. The night Themis made the decision to take the druids knowledge and give it to the world outside of the Labyrinth, he felt a change come over him. The words whispered in his head were unintelligible, but the blessing of the Gladekeeper was unmistakable. Fully motivated for his cause, Themis wasted no more time saying his farewells and journeying into the world. Although Themis took very little with him—he was not a material dragon—he did have his beetle as a companion. The simple green creature was unusual to him; although it held the appearance of the usual tufted leaf beetle, it had eyes of purple. As deep amethyst as a Shadow dragon. The creature was a silent thing, often not moving from it's perch on Themis' back, but offered the simple pleasure of company. And a watchful eye, as it never left Themis' side. Themis visited many different clans, he eventually found himself staying in the chilling territory outside of an Ice lair. It was a forest of evergreen, named Venilva by the locals, and was said to be haunted. Themis only found wildlife and nature, so he set up a home there and did his best to encourage the local war-clan to cease their violent ways. And so it'd been, until the Sornieth needs him once more. |
