Biography

Uh-oh, looks like this nameless traveler wandered a little too far from his home lair (251039, Skylion44 ), and now he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. This is not necessary, but he would be very grateful!

Lore:
I am a Traveler. I do not have a name. My wings have carried me from clan to clan, flight to flight. I have no goal, beyond simply wishing to see the world. Where shall the winds take me this time?
This time it brought me to a nature clan. Here I found serenity in trees and the warmth of a temporary mate. Two children born to us,
One already felt the call to the Diety's side. The other feels a purpose still here in the mortal coil, I wish him well.
Now it is time for me to journey on, and bid my child farewell.

The winds have taken me to the Reedcleft Ascent. A Guardian has granted me shelter from the cruel Queen, who enslaves anyone new who comes across the ever-expanding border. By night, and with the help of a few of his friends,
the Guardian showed me around the land. "You deserve a name," he said aloud when we got to the end of the tour.
"A name? What purpose would that serve me?" I asked.
"You know. It might help you feel better," replied the Guardian.
What would it hurt? "Okay."
"I'll call you... Traveler!" he smiled.
"Traveler?"
"Yes. Traveler."
"Fair enough," I said, bidding him goodbye and spreading my wings once more to the open skies.

The Winds have guided me to the Nature Flight once again. In the skies along the coast, I was met by a child of Wind, a Skydancer who introduced as Willywilly. An ambassador of her clan, she greeted me with enthusiasm and invited me to stay the night; she could sense my flagging strength that evening.

I agreed, and was soon greeted by a pink Pearlcatcher by the name of Steven, who was escorted by a Manticore. He greeted me and turned to yet another Skydancer, orange and black with a joyful mask. She observed me quietly before nodding and taking off to play with some younger hatchlings. The pearlcather introduced himself as leader and healer of the clan of Ordered Chaos.

As he showed me around the territory, he explained how anyone was free to come and go as they pleased, so long as they didn’t cause too much trouble; I saw engineers and musicians, warriors and hunters, mages and spirits all around.

A place of misfits, I surmised. A place where those who did not fit in anywhere else, found more than a place to live, but a place to be. A home made up of little families and many friends, who were there for one another.

I smiled, softly, turned to Steven, and made a simple, weighted inquisition.

Steven laughed aloud, a gleeful noise, and nodded. “Of course! Stay as long as you like.”

I knew, then, that I was Home.
...
Things have changed. A dark force had taken over the clan, draining the life and livelihood from my fellow dragons. Those that could, fled the territory, even as the vile magic twisted and changed us.

While I could, I left with the dragons who once made up my clan, but when they settled in the Windswept Plateau, I decided to travel further. I was no longer content, to remain in place... and the dragons who were once my family were different, or gone, and I felt little else but relief when I took to the skies once more, setting myself to travel the world once more...

As I made my way out of the Wind Flight's domain, I stopped to catch my breath, landing outside a field of flowers. There were two dragons there, a Skydancer and a Wildclaw, both seemed happy to see me. They approached me and welcomed me to their clan, Floragale, with happy smiles. The Skydancer turned to me and asked, "How long do you plan to stay, Traveler?" I didn't remember telling her my name. I responded, saying I was just passing through, and she invited me to stay for the next few days, at least long enough to be fully rested. I accepted, which seemed to please both her and the Wildclaw.

The three of us entered the clan, and I could tell that I caught the eye of a few dragons. Though they seemed to have a diverse clan, I assume they don't get many new dragons wandering through. A black and blue Skydancer with butterflies fluttering around him approached me and thanked the Skydancer (who I learned was named Sequoia) and the Wildclaw (Malachite) for bringing me in. He introduced himself as Charaxes, the clan leader, and gave me a tour of the clan. Any dragon with an allergy to pollen would not have enjoyed this clan, as it seemed surrounded by flowers. Bees and butterflies buzzed around the area, matching the wings of the dragons in the clan.

I enjoyed myself at this clan, however, the wind domain can only vary so much, and I find myself becoming tired of bamboo stalks and flat plains. It is time to move on and see the next place in Sorneith.
