The Order of the Mystic Fae

Deep in the Viridian Labyrinth, an Order of fae dragons are harnessing strange magics...
These fae have created a temple using their magically cured tree sap, to use as a store house of the ancient knowledge and ways of their species. This amber temple is known as the Mystics Temple, and fae come from far and wide to apprentice with the Order and dedicate their lives to the study and practice of the magics around them.

Recently, the Mystics Temple has been changing those who study within its walls. The Order believe its because they have reached a critical mass of fae, combined with the magic in the very temple itself to create an incredible new sub species. Each fae's inner powers have been changing, growing immeasurably, and making them capable of magics never before seen. But something else is also happening on the outside. All the Masters and apprentices have slowly been changing colour, their bodies becoming various shades of purples and blacks, mimicking a twilight sky. Their offspring are also born with this colouring and strange abilities. Curiously, their powers are increased in those moments when day turns to night. No one knows why this is so. Arnhemensis wears a choker made from the Amber of the Mystics Temple to remind himself of his home as he travels looking for answers of to what is happening to his fellow Mystic Fae.
Note: Arnhemensis's name comes from the Northern brushtail possum scientific species name.
