Z A G R E U S Zagreus was from the Vinsomer clan and was fairly smart just like his father. although smart, Zagreus wasn't always the wisest when it came to a lot of things. one day he did something that cause a witch to cast a curse on him. He just laughed and said that he didn't believe her and that there was no such thing as curses. But as night began to approach he started to feel odd. He just shrugged it off though as some crazy paranoid feeling, kind of like that one that some dragons get when someone mentions an illness and then suddenly feel like they have symptoms of that illness. Zagreus just reminded himself that curses aren't real and that nothing was.....his thoughts were suddenly interrupted as a sharp pain pierced his head, and his stomach ruptured in intolerable aches causing him to keel over in pain. As he laid there all his skin felt as if it was burning off as his bones felt like they were melting into nothing. What was happening to him, was he dying? As his eyes began to blur from the unbearable pain he manage to catch his reflection in a stack of coins he didn't see the dying mess of a mirror he expected to see but instead a wolf like creature beginning to take form and staring right back at him with it's glowing red eyes. Zagreus closed his eyes. this all had to be a dream. The pain seemed to soon subside or maybe he was just starting to get used to it, but some unknown force drove him to howl at the moon and then take off into the forest. the whole night just felt almost like a fever dream he couldn't control any of his movements no matter how much he tried and everything seemed to look blurry with a reddish tint to it. The next day Zagreus awoke to find himself in pain and near a lake. He slowly cast his gaze toward the waters, afraid to see the beast again. instead the waters reflected back his normal self. it had to be all just a dream like he thought, but how did he get over here then. Nothing made sense to him. He had to find the answers. He thought a moment of where to look first...he needed to find the witch and figure out what she had done. he searched everywhere but he was still left with no clues to go on. He growled in frustration and went to turn back home when suddenly the same odd feeling from the night before began to kick in. Zagreus sadly knew what was coming next he mentally prepared himself as much as he could for the incoming unbearable pain. The transformation seemed faster and to hurt less this time around but he still wasn't in control of his actions. the next morning he awoke next to some small bones that had been gnawed on recently. Zagreus shoved the bones aside and sighed. if this curse was going to take affect every night maybe it would just be faster to find some other way to cure it. he looked back toward the direction of his old clan. He couldn't go back there to cure it, they would find out his secret, it would be better to travel away from there. That way his family wouldn't find out about this, though he hated to leave with out telling them, but it was the only way no one would find out, Thus he began his Journey to find a cure. His search for a cure ended him up in the Kaito clan, a clan filled with wildclaws. I'm not going to find a cure here he thought as he watched all the colorful wildclaws going about their day. he was thinking about leaving when a winter wolf cuddled up to him. Zagreus felt the urge to hit the wolf away but decided on shoving instead. the wolf wouldn't budge and instead seemed to get happier. a wildclaw with a winter wolf pelt then approached them and the winter wolf happily went up to them. then the wildclaw stared at Zagreus for a good long minute before walking away with the winter wolf. Zagreus wasn't sure what to think about that short moment. but something compelled him to stay but what? certainly wasn't the big crowd of wildclaws that's for sure.

Zagreus may be a little unpredictable at times with his uncontrollable werewolf curse and all. But Nightclaw chose him to come along because of his knowledge of the supernatural, his excellent tracking ability and his fairly decent fighting ability. Which makes him a good ally to have around. the werewolf curse has caused some problems on quests before but it's been nothing life threatening to Nightclaw.
