Name Derived From: Proteus, an early sea-god or god of rivers and oceanic bodies of water, one of several deities whom Homer calls the "Old Man of the Sea".He can foretell the future, but, in a mytheme familiar to several cultures, will change his shape to avoid having to; he will answer only to someone who is capable of capturing the beast.

► Captain of the Bakunawa, a group of opportunistic mercenaries with a taste for riches.
► The Bakunawa was once a band of privateers with a strong penchant for honor and selflessness. They were known for offering their service to dragon clans in need of help for just a exchange of treasure, or sometimes, it was even free.
Despite being poor financially, The Bakunawa had high prestige amongst the dragon clans in the coasts of the Sea of A Thousand Currents.
Proteus grew tired of having a low payroll. But instead of quitting, he carefully sowed seeds of discontent within the rest of the crew. Slowly convincing them that deserved more. It wasn't long before he staged a mutiny against the Captain of the Bakunawa and usurped his position.
► As of today, the Bakunawa remains as one of the wealthiest mercenary bands in the Tidecaller's territory.
