Pueraqua was born next to the ocean on a quiet little cove. His father taught him how to swim and he taught himself how to hunt. His wings blended perfectly with the ocean waves, allowing his grey, spotted body to look like a seal. When his family decided to migrate, he stayed at the cove.

Everyday he swam out a little further than before, until one day he felt a chill run up his spine. A tide of freezing cold water brushed past him and, being the curious dragon his, he decided to find out where it came from. His shivering grew worse and worse until he went to the surface to find land like he had never seen before. Large chunks of ice floated around him and snow was gently falling.

That was when he saw her. Ningosquama. She was beautiful. Barely standing out from the snow, but her piercing gaze drew him in. He stared up at her from the water as she stared down at him from the ice. She showed such elegance in her stride and held her head high and proud. Puer found her fascinating. Mesmerizing.
