personality
Sangue has an odd personality. When she is with her victims and patients, she is quiet and cold. She does her work quickly, efficiently, and cleanly. She is meticulous. When interacting with allies, she is quite different. She is emotional, talkative, and friendly. She could talk about herself and her work for hours on end.

backstory
Sangue was hatched in a wind clan. She was hatched with a strange mutation in which harmless red mushrooms grew all over her. Her family was concerned for her well being and sent her off to a plague clan with the hope that they could cure her. While in the plague clan, Sangue was adopted by a kind alchemist named Amoral. The plague clan was unable to cure Sangue; in fact, while there, she learned to love her mushrooms. Eventually, the clan moved to light. That was fine with Sangue. The light territory was nice. She even found herself a mate, but then Amoral fell in love with Soya and left her. At least she still had her mate, but then he left too. Sangue lost it. She became unhinged and dove into the woods. Instead of being a world renowned surgeon, like she had the potential to be, she was a surprise visitor to sick dragons. She never had an voluntary patients. She took to stealing dragons out of the woods and harvesting them for parts to help others. It made her happy.

job
Sangue is a surgeon. She is very meticulous and particular about her work. Her lab is perfectly organized. All of her tools are organized and lined up perfectly. She cleans her lab everyday with a chemical cleaner made by Amoral. Her lab features a freezer that holds her spare parts. It was enchanted by Arachnid as a thank you for helping so many dragons in the city. The freezer is full of organs and parts. Everything from imperial brains to fae toes, all cleaned, packed, and organized alphabetically.

“Why does everyone leave me? Why am I always alone? What did I do to deserve this?”
Theme: Blasphemy

"Where did they all go? I’m still here and everyone I loved has left me. Alba ran when the fighting started, my parents abandoned me because they wanted me to be cured, Amoral said he would be my friend and my father, but now he’s always pining for Soya or hanging out with Luceat, I have no one.

“I’m alone again. It’s okay though. I get it. I’m difficult to love. I can be a bit overwhelming and not everyone can handle being around someone who constantly breaks the law. I’m crazy and unpredictable and sometimes I kidnap dragons because I get lonely. I get why someone wouldn’t want to be around me, but it’s not being around others that made me like this.

“If I still had Alba, I’d be on his boat and we’d be sailing around Sornieth. If I still had Amoral, I’d be learning to be an alchemist. If I still had my parents, I wouldn’t have had to be in a war, fight against my friends, scavenge the woods for fallen dragons just so I can make myself happy by ripping out their organs and saving my clanmates. I don’t think what I’m doing is wrong. It’s definitely illegal, but not wrong. I’m saving dragons who need transplants and other life saving surgery. Not just in my clan either, but all over. I guess I just don’t care anymore. I’m alone and a criminal, but I’m… okay. Not happy, just okay.”

Sangue was sent to the Burning Rose Clan as a child. Her original clan leaders thought the then Plague clan could cure Sangue. She didn’t understand why she had to leave, she thought that they loved her and in her eyes, being sent away was a symbol of hatred.

When she arrived, others still avoided her. They thought that her disease was contagious, but they were wrong. She had quite the bleeding heart and was very social, so to ease the minds of the others, she wore a mask. Amoral took her in. He told her that he would teach her alchemy and adopt her and she would be his daughter. It overjoyed her. She finally felt accepted.

The clan moved to the Light domain and Alba joined the clan. She fell in love with him. He was perfect. She could never see any wrong in him. No matter how many times he got mad at her or spent time at his boat rather than with her, she always forgave him and dismissed his flaws. Everything was perfect for Sangue. She had a home, a family, and friends. It was perfect. For just a moment.

Then Soya went crazy. She killed Alec and Amoral fell for her. Sangue just watched while her only family slipped through her talons. One moment, he was her father and he loved her and they spent every waking hour together, the next he was chasing after Soya, trying to convince her that he was better than Alec. Sangue figured it would be alright. She still had Alba, but then the war started and Alba couldn’t stand the shade. He sided the Rebellion and left her. He told her that he still loved her and he would sneak into the palace to visit her, but this time, she couldn’t forgive him. He abandoned her. She still let him come to the palace, but she was mad.

Just as she was starting to forgive him, the battle began. The sun disappeared from the sky and blood was shed. Alba was never a fighter. He kissed Sangue goodbye and ran away. So Sangue was left. Her biological parents had sent her away, her adopted father left her to chase after a woman who would never love him, and Alba left her because he was afraid. Sangue didn’t know what to do with herself. She had already found a passion for surgery and medicine, but there was something so dull in just saving lives. She needed excitement, so she started killing and stealing organs. She found her needed excitement and tried to dull the pain of being alone all the time.
