Knowing isn’t enough. Not for Bantu, at least. It’s not enough to read about the mysteries of the world in the pages of books— he has to seek them out and experience them in person.

This young Skydancer acquired his intelligence and thirst for knowledge from his mother, Whyrthala. Unlike her, however, he believes that it’s necessary to travel to distant lands and experience life firsthand to really understand the things he reads about in books. He doesn’t want to rely on second-hand knowledge to form his view of the world.

Because of this, Bantu has traveled to all the different regions of the world ruled by different flight deities. His travels have most certainly shaped his character. Bantu has seen many corrupt rulers around the world. This had made him incredibly critical of hierarchies. He’s constantly questioning authority, and knows that just because someone is in charge doesn’t mean that they really know what’s best.

Although he tries to stay down-to-earth, Bantu has his little idiosyncrasies. He puts quite a lot of stock in his appearance, and likes to look good. He knows that he’s good-looking, and has no problem dressing up to enhance his appearance. He’s a bit of a flirt as well, and occasionally gets himself into trouble when it comes to romance. Other young dragons tend to be attracted to him, and he’s gathered something of a fan club within his mother’s clan. They love to listen to his stories about traveling the world.

Bantu even picked up a little bit of defensive magic to help keep away unwanted trouble on the road. He spent some time with a band of nomadic snappers who taught him many things. Among them, they taught him how to use magic to distract and disorient enemies, as well as a few elemental spells. He doesn’t have the need to use them much now, thankfully. He also proved to be quite adept at mental magic. He’s only encountered a few other telepaths in his travels, but he tends to enjoy engaging in mental duels with them. It’s not something he gets to do often, but Bantu likes the challenge.
