Personality: Oneiro is a curious individual, being a mystery to many dragons. His personality is diverse and hard to read, but I've dissected it down for you. Oneiro presents himself as an easygoing dragon, fun and entertaining. He has many jokes in store and can explain things well, being smooth-tongued and having great improvisation skills. Thus, he is a good storyteller, earning him the job of a spinner. He has a deep voice and is comforting, never going too far with ghost stories. His years of bad luck with love, however, has goaded him to shy away from stories involving romantic relationships lest his feelings explode again. Inside, he has become more and more fragile due to his repeated social life's destruction, and he struggles to go on without someone to support him. Now, however, he has met Iridesce, and Chrysocolla brings calm to his ever-fluttering heart.

Likes: Spinning (spinning stories), occasionally scaring people purposefully, acting mystical, being humorous
Dislikes:Having his stories proven logically wrong, grouse *shudder* you just can't get him to eat them!
Skills: Spinning, acting, improv comedy (don't even ask)
Flaws: Fragile personality structure, sometimes doesn't know when to stop his humor, gets breakdowns once in a while

B I O

After Oneiro's first mate, Hazel, left him, he left his clan, not being able to bear setting eyes on her again. He found new passions and new interests, such as storytelling and being an illusionist, but settled after traveling for a while as a nomad. After some time, he met Akhlys and mated with her, but his heart was once again broken when Akhlys left for the Gladekeeper's service from her unavoidable sense of duty. He now awaits another dragoness to heal his heart. (Tragic, much XD) Recently, however, he met Tourmaline, an enchantingly beautiful young skydancer dragoness. Tourmaline and Oneiro mutually like each other and have admitted their feelings. Oneiro hoped to stay with Tourmaline as a happy family, unlike his previous mates. Then two new dragons entered the clan, both coincidentally luring Tourmaline and Oneiro away from each other. Up till now, they still weren't fully bonded, and they said goodbye-- one more blow on his teetering heart-- for the two loving dragons who seemed just right. Now, with a beautiful daughter and a caring mate Iridesce, Oneiro is happy again.

The many apprentices Baldwin the Brewer goes through are numerous. (No, Orum, we are not talking about you today. Now shush.) One happens to be a young mirror dragoness named Istalri-- not the one Pyro and Tourmaline once had, that's Istalri II, Caelitua-- who was a mischievous girl. She was no more than a hatchling when she started brewing. But after many brews, she grew ambitious.
"Can we experiment to find new things to brew?" she asked Baldwin. Baldwin, being his knowledgable self, answered her wisely.
"Yes, but for now, you must know your basic methods before you become experimental, alright?" Istalri answered assent, but in her mind, and idea still, well, brewed.
After weeks of pondering the idea spreading in her mind, her heart was set on achieving it. She wanted to make a familiar, though it wasn't her level yet and was too hard. So when Baldwin allowed her to brew without his hawking over her, she took advantage of the moment. in went silver muck, black slime, green goo, yellow sludge, and finally a beaker. As it was brewing, however, Istalri, being a hatchling teetered on the edge of the big cauldron. Just as it cooled, she wobbled-- once, twice-- and plop! She fell right into the brew with a splash.
When she climbed out, bedraggled and shocked, the contents of the brew slipped off her scales. As she landed, Istalri realized that some of the brew was still caked around her face, belly, and feet. She reached down to brush it off instinctively, but as she did, the brew started to expand as it dried. Curious, she stopped. Soon enough the brew solidified, and as Istalri's scales were pushed apart, she strangely felt no pain. After the solid fragments fell off, there were stains of color where the brew had been-- and clear scaly impressions.
Baldwin chose this moment to storm in, having heard the entire situation. As soon as he saw her, though, his jaw dropped.
"What in the world...?"
As far as we know, this is how the Scales gene was created. Some of you may have it-- not you, Ilokum, you've got underbelly tertiary gene. The gene was passed down through mating from Istalri, and now it's a true tertiary gene.
