Biography

1491575467.nimroderick_tirshel1-1.png

This, my little foolish one, is not your lucky day.

Sharp, the talons that trace their way across your tender cheek. A gentle tone pours from lips parted in a predatory smile, and as you look, you shudder; there are far too many razorblades concealed within that soothing grin.

She continues, drawing back to begin circling you slowly. Those dark eyes watch your every move, and seem to shimmer with amusement each time you take a step away.

Trying to leave us so soon, my child? She coos in a tender tone while covering the distance set between you in a stride. A subtle gesture that makes it clear: she is not done with you just yet.

But just as well; where would you run? Her Children are all around you, made evident by the occasional flickering of firelight reflected in distant yet surrounding eyes.

The clan and its ways may belong to Spinel, but these woods belong to the Children.

Power is the law in most clans, and conflict is no stranger. Tirshel has spent her life having to prove herself time and again in order to survive, while clawing her way up. She's had to fight for everything she's had, From the simple necessities of life, to her clanmates' respect. Within our company she disregards the rule of our matriarch, caring nothing for a leader who refuses to show her strength when challenged. What reason has she to respect the rule of a leader who will not even raise a single talon to defend herself from challenge?

In Tirshel's eyes, since her direct challenge to Spinel's leadership did not meet resistance or stir conflict, then her overthrow went uncontested. The clan is hers. Not an illogical conclusion, with all things in mind, but this notion is held by her and her alone.

Our people remain true to our One True Matriarch.

Her refusal to stoop to the level of responding to taunts is precisely the sort of action that inspires fierce loyalty among Spinel's kin. She leads through wisdom over strength, and abhors meaningless conflict. A rarity within a land ruled by the might of tooth and claw.

Will this rival matriarch find her place?
