Squorn got into an alchemist's laboratory when he was little, which resulted in an accide- err... highly interesting alchemical potion getting splashed all over him. The goo stained him purple, and attempts to wash it off were not successful. Squorn thinks he looks really pretty now though, and isn't bothered about it.
Squorn has a keen interest in brewing and alchemy, and can often be found in the laboratory, mixing strange substances together. A trusty purple chest follows him wherever he goes, ready to leap into action if it feels he is being threatened.
Squorn has rather a large collection of treasured possessions he likes to keep close.
