Tourmaline

A fishing trip gone awry has led to the newest member of the GaleBreaker clan, Tourmaline. An undead Guardian tasked with protecting whomever wakes her from her slumber in the deep.

awakened from her slumber by a young dragon during a fishing trip, Tourmaline has attached herself to Ryu, the heir to the GaleBreaker clan. however, opening the chest she was locked away in set a curse on Ryu, causing her to rot away into a living skeleton until the curse breaks.
Tourmaline has kept close to the young heir, keeping her calm in the event of her curse and guiding her through her new life as an undead. Unfortunately, Ryu is a full package, as Tourmaline also has to accept her headstrong lover, Giddel, as a charge as well.
Giddel has an immediate distrust of Tourmaline, but the guardian can sense something deep within her, past the feirce loyalty to her mate, a power resting deep inside, but what that power entails is hidden even to the spirit.
As she stays close to the tundra, Tourmaline feels long-thought lost emotions welling up within her again. Affection, Trust, Longing. But while she accepts these feelings and wishes to pursue them, Ryu is in no state to be dealing with romantic advances. And so she waits.
Her patience is rewarded first by the affection of the Imperial, Giddel, who now views Tourmaline as both a sparring partner and good friend, though Tourmaline can sense the desire for more within her, for Giddel and Ryu both.
When Ryu invites her into their lives more permanently, as an equal to both of them in all things, both romantic and otherwise, Tourmaline's response was immediate and more enthusiastic than Giddel and Ryu had ever seen her.
