AS their name would imply, Unknown is an enigma. They've revealed neither their true name nor any part of their history, aside from the fact that they entered Turnback Cave "on accident", and they don't ever seem inclined to change that. Though they're slow to trust other dragons with anything at all, those who have gained that trust pledge time and again that the mysterious Ridgeback is a loyal ally, though that's about as specific as they'll get. Unknown fit very snugly into the position of head scavenger, as they have a knack for finding treasure, though they prefer going out alone to leading an actual scavenging party, much to the frustration of their more businesslike clanmates.

When Unknown arrived in the clan, they did so with their Carrioncorn, Verdigris, trotting dutifully at their heels. While they've never revealed their own backstory, they're happy to talk at length about how and where they met their familiar: Verdigris was discovered early one morning with its horn firmly embedded in the Ridgeback's Venomscale armor, having apparently mistaken the green spikes for the horns of a rival. Unknown freed the beast, who then apparently decided that any dragon capable of defeating so many "other Carrioncorns" was more than worth its company. To this day, Unknown still isn't sure if they've managed to convince Verdigris of the truth, but they're happy to have it by their side regardless.
